Alan Wisniewski

Alan has always had an interest in creative art and design. He graduated with a degree in Industrial Design in Toronto, where he stumbled across Umbra after discovering the Bungee wallet. That discovery led him to a highly productive decade at Umbra. Alan is inspired by his everyday surroundings and favors designs that blend clean lines and function. He takes pride in each product he designs and feels the city of Toronto is the perfect forum for fresh and exciting ideas.
Chad Stewart

Growing up in a small town, Chad has always had a fascination for function and design. Even as a child, he wondered why products were designed the way they were. He started exploring those questions at Humber College, studying industrial design. Chad began his career in the consultancy world, working across a range of industries, from electronics to housewares. Today, Chad is still asking the same questions he asked as a kid, focusing on the details, and finding that perfect accent to elevate the function of the products he designs.
Paul Rowan
Chief Advisor | Strategist
Born and raised in Toronto, Canada Paul learned about applied technology while growing up in his Dad’s hardware store. It was here the seeds were sown for his future calling. Paul co-founded Umbra in 1980 with the vision that good design didn’t have to be expensive. He masterminded design at Umbra for 35 years growing the business in over 100 countries and winning dozens of awards along the way.
