Kvell Living

 
 

Working closely with the management team, we developed an internal corporate strategy to actualize a series of brands under a revitalized corporate identity for the FHE Group Inc.   Our strategy was to design and develop a new brand from the ground up with a fresh design focus to attract a new customer demographic, as well as capture attention from new retailers. Kvell was born from the desire to make contemporary and functional design attainable to everyone.

  • The name Kvell is the Yiddish word for ‘pride’, Kvell was chosen for its personal connection to the owners themselves.  This sense of delight and pride was strategically infused into all aspects of the new brand, from the products themselves to the packaging they were merchandised in.  Geared toward price/value-cautious millennials, Kvell customers feel a sense of pride in owning their products and showing them off in their homes.

  • Once the brand identity was established, we created the brand’s overall design direction which led the product design, packaging design, web design and more.

  • Ensuring brand consistency was the focus and driver when directing the lifestyle photoshoot.  Location scouting, storyboarding, prop-sourcing, and on-set direction were all key ingredients to ensure Kvell landed with a collection of lifestyle imagery to be used across various mediums such as print, social and web.

  • In addition to creating the overall brand vision and identity, we were also responsible for product assortment planning, product design, and product development. The FHE Group Inc. began its business by being one of the first to market with its patented folding storage ottoman. This needed to be part of the new brand launch to segway into the newer, more innovative pieces inspired by this folding framework with hidden storage. We were responsible for planning the product launch that included their flagship product and combining newly designed pieces to coordinate, along with other products to round out the assortment.

  • Kvells’ launch was planned for the Chicago Housewares show to drive a marketing campaign while attracting the attention of many retailers, large and small.  In addition to the actual design and development of the booth, we also provided strategic product merchandising to increase overall visual impact.
